Although my career has shifted post-graduation, my passion and hard work has not. In my current role as a Copy Editor, I get to put into practice the ethics and grit I have developed throughout my studies. I look forward to further develop my skills in Publishing roles.
Sunday School Publishing Board
Copy Editor | July 2025 - Present
I work as a Copy Editor focusing on adult curriculum materials for the Sunday School Publishing Board.
My role includes copyediting five curriculum titles each quarter, fact-checking and proofreading manuscripts, and working with editors and designers throughout the production process.
Editorial Process
01—Manuscript Review
Review manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, consistency, and editorial standards.
02—Copyediting
Edit and refine content using Adobe InCopy, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout each title.
03—Editorial Collaboration
Communicate directly with editors to resolve manuscript questions and clarify editorial decisions.
04—Layout & Production
Work with designers as edited content moves through the layout process.
05—Final Review
Review final bluelines when needed to identify remaining errors before print approval.
