ABOUT ME
I'm Antonia Lopez, a publishing and editorial professional based in Nashville, Tennessee.
I currently work as a Copy Editor at the Sunday School Publishing Board, where I edit adult curriculum materials and collaborate with editors and designers throughout the publishing process. My work includes copyediting, proofreading, fact-checking, manuscript review, layout review, and final quality control.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism from Trevecca Nazarene University, where I also minored in Religion. Before moving into publishing, I worked in journalism and served as Editor-in-Chief of TrevEchoes, developing a strong foundation in research, writing, editing, and editorial leadership.
I'm passionate about books and the work that happens behind the scenes to bring them to readers. I'm especially interested in Christian publishing, nonfiction, editorial development, and the process of helping ideas become polished, engaging publications.
Passionate about storytelling and assisting in that process
I bring a passion for storytelling and community engagement. Alongside my copyediting experience, I am currently working on a copyediting and editing certificate to continue my education. My ultimate goal is to be able to assist writers-- of any kind-- make their writing and manuscript as best as possible before moving it along to the publishing process, whether it's the traditional route or indie.
